Introduction to Entrepreneurial Studies
is designed to foster the entrepreneurial
spirit in students and encourage them to
pursue any interest they may have in that area.
Students will start by examining entrepreneurial
skills and characteristics required to become
successful independently or as part of a larger
organization. Next, students will explore the
concept of recognizing an opportunity and developing
it into an idea that can be transformed into a
venture. All of the resources required will be
examined including marketing, accounting, and human
resources. The course will include the creation of
a venture plan drawing together all of the concepts
that were learned throughout the course.
