Introduction to Marketing

Marketing is one of the most interesting
courses you can study because it deals with
products and services you want and need. It
covers advertising and retailing and packaging
and all the fun and fascinating parts of promoting
and selling these products. It deals with
e-commerce, international politics and culture,
environmental issues, social causes, and other
major components of your world. But, most of all,
it deals with you as a consumer, as a market, as
a demographic, as a representative of a group or
a lifestyles. Marketing takes you around the world
or brings products from around the world to you.
Creating a marketing plan for a product, service,
cause, or idea will help you to understand the
concept of marketing. It will be completed step
by step throughout the course. When you have
completed the course, the marketing plan will be
your major assessment task.
