TTJ 4E2 – Grade 12 Workplace

Transportation Technology

This 2 credit course allows more time
to examine the commonalities of land, air
and marine vehicles and transportation systems.
Students will develop safe workplace habits
and business management skills and will use
diagnostic, hand and power tools effectively
to service and repair vehicles to meet industry
and safety inspections. Emphasis will be placed
on power-train troubleshooting, including the
study of vehicle emissions and electronic controls.
Unit studies on hydraulics, diesel engines, and
welding will also be included. Students will
research the entry requirements for apprenticeship
training programs and develop the employability
and technical skills required for entry into
the workplace.

Prerequisites: TTJ 3E2 – 1 Credit
