Study Tips
Some
students with average or better mental abilities that enter high school will do
well from the beginning, while other students will not do well and become
near-failures and get average marks.
There are plenty of ways to study. While reading your notes, you can make shorter notes that might include an introduction, body, conclusion, that help give you a better understanding. You can also use post-its (sticky paper) for reminders. Highlighting information is the most used technique and a great one for studying because you can highlight the main points, main characters, and also where things are taking place (who, what, when, where, why, how).
There are different types of learners like a visual learner who likes to see directions written down. They remember what they read. Visual learners study best by taking notes and then reading them over. There’s the auditory learners who remember what they hear. They remember things best by talking about information with another person. Reading aloud can help an auditory learner remember, and also, the kinesthetic learner who like hands-on work. They learn best by using information they are learning. They may like making a poster, or project.
Key Reminder: If your nervous before a test or exam, eat a
chocolate bar. It will motivate your brain because of the sugar.
These tips are well known, and have helped a lot of people with tests, work, or other activities. There are also other things to know to like for instance, where to study or when. However best you think you can study is the key, whether its listening to music, or studying with a friend or relative. Or if you’re the type to be independent, you can go into another room for 20 minutes to an hour and review.
